DIG your own tulip bulbs
Join us on the farm for a day of digging up tulips! We are getting the field ready for pumpkins so help us get the bulbs out! Tickets will go on sale at 10am and we will sell until 4pm (or until sold out).
Bring your own gloves. We provide the container for the tulips and a hand shovel (bucket and shovel are yours to keep). We are not allowing anyone to bring in shovels or other gardening tools, due to the possibility of introducing new disease to the field.
Tulip Dig is $20 per gallon container (limit of TWO adults per container). Can purchase additional buckets for $15 each (doesn't include a shovel).
Fun Park will be open 10am-5pm on June 10.
Fun Park Admission is $11.95 per person and includes:
hayrides to see the cows
visit with animals in barnyard
”Elroy’s Run” mega slide
jumping pillow
corn cribs
splash pad
unlimited family fun
Details to know:
The stems and leaves may look dead, but the bulbs are still alive and lying dormant until next spring.
We ask that you dispose of the leaves and stems in the Trash receptacles and please don’t leave them laying around for the staff to clean up.
It is best to wash the dirt off the bulb, cut away the roots and stem (but not the bulb), and then store them in a cool dry spot for planting in early to mid-October. Give them a good drink after you plant them.
Bulbs should be planted 4” to 6” deep, although you can plant them as deep as 12”.
The tulips should bloom for approximately 10 days, depending on the temperature in the spring. A tulip will continue to bloom for years as long as it’s well cared for (fertilized and watered) throughout the year.
